Welcome to Sarah McAlister Textile Art
After many years hand making beautiful hats and caps for chaps, I am now focussing on making beautiful textile art pieces. My art pieces are made from found objects wherever possible. My art is in response to places or events.
Following completion of my MA Textiles studies, I am now able to offer creative workshops and informative talks for all levels of expertise.
You will be able to see more of what I’m up to on the Textile Art and individual project pages of this site.
Coming up…
My summer’s work is now completed and a quilt entitled “A Kindness of Strangers” was presented at the Wimbledon Art Fair. The finished quilt is going to go out “on tour” and the first exhibition venue is St John’s Church on Spencer Hill, Wimbledon, where it is currently on show inside the church.
