This quilt is currently on display in St John the Baptist church on Spencer Hill in Wimbledon. I am hoping it will be shown soon at Trinity URC on Mansell Road in Wimbledon.
This project was a big part of my first solo textile exhibition in May 2025 in conjunction with Wimbledon Museum, where I exhibited my work as well as “working in residence” on a new textile panel that is inspired by the story in this link.
At the exhibition, visitors were invited to leave an outline of their hand that was translated into fabric and then included in this quilt. It was completed after the exhibition and “unveiled” at Art in the Park at Canizaro Park on Sunday 28th September and shown below:
This smaller piece was made for Wimbledon Museum to illustrate the theme.
